William holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology with a specialization in Solid Mechanics, and a BSc in Energy Engineering. He is an authorised European Patent Attorney with extensive experience in various areas of intellectual property law.

William’s career began in 2000 at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Since 2006 he has worked as a patent attorney at two different intellectual property firms, and as an IP Counsel at ABB. During his six years at ABB, his focus was on patent matters where an important task, alongside managing patent portfolios, was to analyse and avoid competitors’ patents. His role also involved advising on design, trademarks, and trade secrets.

Over the years, William has gained extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in several technical fields. Examples include automotive technology (in the air, on the ground, and below and above water), manufacturing technology, material handling, electrical power distribution, battery technology, industrial machines, and household products.

William works closely with his clients throughout the patent process and has deep knowledge of all stages of proceedings at both the Swedish Patent Office (PRV) and the European Patent Office (EPO).
