Joakim is a Swedish Authorized Patent Attorney and Authorized Design Attorney before European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). He has a M.Sc. in Geotechnologyfrom Luleå Technology University.

During his career he has worked as Patent Officer for the Swedish Patent Office in the early nineties, in-house Patent Attorney at Eka Chemicals 1994-1997, and Patent Attorney and Design Attorney since 1997 in the private practice.

Joakim has long experience working with SME firms and some of the largest companies within areas such as paper and pulp, mining, vehicles and material handling, tools and fastening elements, medical equipment, designed products in general (including GUI), sports and amusement products, lighting fittings, garden products, defence and shooting ranges, and water jet cutting.

He is a member of the Association of Swedish Patent Attorneys (SPOF) and The Association of IP Professionals in Swedish Industry (SIPF).
